Wellesley Class of 2005
Dear [first_name],
I’m very excited to be writing you my first letter as class president. It’s hard to believe that our 10-year reunion has already come and gone. I don’t know about you, but whenever I go back to Wellesley, I feel like I never left. My goal for the next five years is to keep you as enthusiastic and engaged with your classmates and Wellesley as if you’d just set foot on campus.
Your executive board has come up with a mountain of new and exciting new ideas to help you connect to each and to the College. But before we implement our plans, we want to check in with you to make sure we’re giving you what you want. We want Wellesley to fit into your life now and to come with you on your journey over the next five years. With that in mind, please take a moment to fill out this survey to give us an idea of what you’d like to see the Class of 2005 executive board plan. It should take less than 10 minutes to complete. Your help is invaluable to the executive board and to your classmates. As a thank you, you can enter a raffle to win a big bag of fun Wellesley swag.

Some news:

  • Check out the new Class of 2005 instagram, @wellesley2005! Tag us in your photos so we can share them with your classmates. Go on a great vacation? Get a new dog? Try a new restaurant? No adventure is too small to share with your classmates!
  • The College has issued the Generation to Generation challenge to help us get more Class Lifetime Members. Class Lifetime Memberships of $250 are essential as we use these donations to purchase shares of the College endowment (one share of the endowment is $660). We earn interest every year that we can use towards reunion. Right now, we’re earning $76 a year in interest. Some classes earn $4,000 a year in interest. That’s $20,000 for reunion! That means better entertainment, better food, and cheaper prices so more of our classmates can join us at reunion in 2020! Eventually we’ll even be able to help younger classes with these funds, just as older classes helped us in 2010. If the Class of 2005 can get 34 more Class Lifetime Members in the next year, the College will give us $1,500 to buy even more shares of the endowment.  This is an investment in your class and your classmates; it does not go towards the College or College operations. Make your donation today!
  • Please send all announcements and updates for Alum Magazine Class Notes to by November 30. Your fellow alums want to hear from you!
  • We’re revamping the class Facebook page and website, so keep your eyes on these spaces for new content in the weeks to come.
Please fill out the survey and keep in contact with us. I’m personally looking forward to hearing from you and planning some great events over the next five years.
